Support Our Work

Help refugee researchers lead the research that shapes their communities.

Why your support matters

Research about refugees is too often done without them. We are changing that.

NORRU is a refugee-led organisation. Our researchers live in the communities they study, in Nakivale, Oruchinga, Rwamwanja, Kyangwali and Kampala. They understand the questions that matter, and they are trusted by the people they speak with.

Your support helps us train refugee researchers, carry out community-led studies, and turn findings into evidence that informs policy and practice for refugees and host communities in Uganda.

Every contribution, large or small, strengthens the ability of refugees to produce knowledge about their own lives rather than only being the subject of it.

“Research for us without us is not for us.” — NORRU

Other ways to support

Financial support is only one way to stand with refugee-led research. Your time, expertise and networks matter just as much.
